Goal:
  • Increase student engagement & higher order critical thinking skills in lectures with flipped video pre-lectures of core content allowing for critical thinking content.  

  • Flip 4 lectures into 15 min videos & incorporate critical thinking activities

Resources Camtasia or other recording software to screen cast. Case studies or other critical thinking content.
Action Steps:  
  • Choose the material that I want to “flip” prior to next semester. 

  • Pre-record one of four of these mini lectures before next semester. 

Outcome Measurement
  • Score exam questions (1-4 scale) AACU critical thinking value rubric, compare to similar questions of non-flipped material. 

  • Analyze overall exam grades, analyze overall course grades, 

  • Survey to capture reflections
