This page highlights the professional development work that Humboldt faculty, staff, and administrators have done in collaboration with ESCALA Educational Services Inc.

A collaboration to build institutional capacity at HSU as an HSI, and equitable, culturally responsive learning for HSU students Humboldt State University (HSU) students come to campus with an abundance of cultural wealth. The collaboration between HSU and ESCALA Educational Services is designed to assist HSU faculty, staff, and administrators in removing barriers to inclusive student success, in order to foster environments that will allow the full spectrum of assets of HSU’s diverse student body to be fully recognized in their academic experiences.  ESCALA Educational Services is a national provider of programming focused on culturally responsive pedagogy and equitable practices for Hispanic Serving Institutions and has worked closely with HSU since 2018 on developing long-term, sustainable faculty, and staff programming.
