Take part in an education revolution that turns the traditional classroom paradigm on its head.  Part 1 of this course is more than just an introduction, it will cover how flipped classes differ from traditional classes, the benefits of flipping, how to avoid common mistakes, and practical tips for getting started. Part 2 will use the skills learned in Part 1 of the workshop and faculty will be introduced to and guided through a hands-on demo of technology that can aid them in developing and sharing their own flipped content.

By the end of this two-part workshop you will be able to:
  • Evaluate how flipping works
  • Review effective techniques that can be utilized
  • Begin planning your own flipped class
  • Engage in hands-on experience developing flipped content for your own courses
